Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 25, 2014
Working out just became even better! Fit4Charity offers a unique opportunity to feel great through fitness while helping others with virtual marathons that donate 100% of the funds raised to a worthy cause. The organization is thrilled to announce their next event will be held in April of 2014 in support of The One Fund Boston. Participants from all over the world can chose to run a virtual 5k, 10k, Half or Full Marathon to raise money for the organization. The One Fund Boston is a non-profit organization created by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and (then) Boston Mayor Menino on April 16, 2013, with the purpose of raising money to help those families most affected by the tragic events that unfolded during 2013’s Boston Marathon.
Driven by their passion for giving back and staying fit, Fit4Charity provides everyone with the opportunity to do both. After their launch in October of 2013, Fit4Charity held their first event in December to support Sandy Hook victims. “It’s important to give back. We are lucky to be able to live a healthy lifestyle, and go out and be fit every day. There are people that are not that lucky and we want them to know they have our support,” says Jason Donaldson, Fit4Charity Founder. “The events are virtual so you can participate from anywhere in the world. It was important for us to include everyone regardless of geographic location. It’s amazing what can happen when you open up the field like that! People from all over registered for our first event. We want it to stay that way.” Fit4Charity will host at least three events per year each in support of a different non-profit charity organization.
